Three things every board can do for you
- Confirm a licence. Number, status, type, expiry, pharmacist in charge.
- Show discipline. Board orders, consent agreements, fines, probation, revocations. Usually a separate page from the lookup.
- Take a complaint. About a pharmacy located in the state, or a non-resident pharmacy shipping into it. This is separate from FDA MedWatch; file both when both apply.
Two things no board does
It does not approve drugs, and it does not rate pharmacies. An active licence is the starting condition, not an endorsement. For the federal layer, see who inspects a compounding pharmacy.
